This Privacy Policy describes how T-Reqs, Inc. (“TReqs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and discloses information in connection with our products and services, including the "roar", Global Lineage-as-a-Service (“GLaaS”), the TReqs platform,, and related services (collectively, the “Platform Services”).
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Platform Services, including users of free and paid accounts.
1. Scope and Relationship to Other Agreements
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected by TReqs in connection with the Platform Services. It does not apply to information processed entirely on customer-controlled infrastructure and not transmitted to or stored by TReqs.
This Privacy Policy supplements, and does not replace, the TReqs Terms of Service (“TOS”). Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings set forth in the TOS.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account and Identity Information
We collect information necessary to create and manage user accounts, including:
- Name, username, and email address
- Authentication identifiers from third-party identity providers (e.g., GitHub OAuth)
- Organization or affiliation information, if provided
We do not collect GitHub passwords or private credentials.
2.2 Service Usage and Operational Data
In connection with operation of the Platform Services, we collect service-generated metadata, including:
- Artifact identifiers and hashes
- Timestamps (e.g., job start times, durations)
- Lineage relationships and dependency graphs
- Performance and usage metrics
- Probabilistic summaries (e.g., bloom filters)
This information is generated by the Platform Services and does not contain the proprietary substance of customer datasets, models, or code.
2.3 Customer-Provided Content References
Depending on how the Platform Services are used, we may receive or observe:
- References to datasets, models, or artifacts
- Commands or configuration parameters
- Links to repositories or external systems
- The Platform Services are designed to operate primarily on derived, non-reversible representations (such as hashes and metadata). TReqs does not require customers to transmit or store full copies of proprietary datasets, models, or code.
2.4 Infrastructure and Network Information
We may collect limited technical information necessary to operate and secure the Platform Services, such as:
- Log data
- Network or system diagnostic information
- We do not intentionally retain raw IP addresses or similar identifiers beyond what is necessary for security, troubleshooting, or legal compliance.
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Platform Services
- Enable lineage, traceability, and artifact verification
- Improve performance, reliability, and usability
- Monitor for abuse, security incidents, and policy violations
- Communicate with users about the Platform Services
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements
- We may use aggregated or anonymized information for analytics and service improvement.
4. Free vs Paid Accounts
For free or evaluation accounts, information and results generated by the Platform Services should not be considered confidential, and certain metadata or registration information may be visible to others who independently possess relevant artifacts or identifiers.
For paid accounts, access to customer-attributable information is scoped to the customer and its authorized users, subject to the TOS.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Platform Services and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
Upon account termination:
- Customer Content will be handled in accordance with the TOS
- Service-generated metadata, lineage relationships, and anonymized or de-identified information may be retained for system integrity, analytics, and service improvement, provided such information does not disclose Customer Content or Customer Confidential Information
6. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell personal information.
We may share information:
- With service providers who assist us in operating the Platform Services
- To comply with legal obligations or lawful requests
- To protect the rights, safety, and security of TReqs, our users, or others
- In connection with a corporate transaction (e.g., merger or acquisition)
Any sharing is limited to what is necessary for the stated purpose.
7. Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information collected through the Platform Services. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Security is a shared responsibility between TReqs and users, particularly where customers control their own infrastructure and credentials.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Platform Services are not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. International Users
The Platform Services are operated from the United States. By using the Platform Services, you acknowledge that information may be processed and stored in the United States or other jurisdictions.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide notice through the Platform Services.
